The CHI philosophy -
Educational
Home Inspection.
There are many good home
inspectors in the Twin Cities area,
but most of them are not good
educators.  When considering
who provides the best value in
an inspection, it is important to
consider that buying a house means maintaining it and, some day, selling it.  A written report provides a snapshot in time but does very little to answer questions about how to live in and maintain a home.  CHI inspectors are different.  By sharing the inspection process with our clients, we not only provide the snapshot report, we can explain how things work, how to maintain a home, and answer questions.  A cold written report from a non-educational inspection might cost less, but is it really a good value?

Resource Guide Contact Like CHI FACT: Most people make an offer on a home after seeing it for less than 20 minutes. In that short time, it can be difficult to see beyond the neutral staging and “realtor beige” walls. This checklist will help you look a little deeper. Got a question? Ask a Pro!
Tap into decades of knowledge and experience--send us an email with any building or inspection related question and we’ll get back to you with a real answer. Not a solicitation.
Be an informed consumer!
There is no licensing for home inspectors in the state of Minnesota! This means that anyone can print up business cards and be a home inspector. It also means that, even when it comes to very experienced inspectors, what constitutes an “inspection” can vary.

At CHI, maintaining high standards of practice and providing thorough, consistent reports is our highest priority. CHI inspectors have successfully completed thousands of inspections. All inspectors are members of the National Association of Home Inspectors.
NAHI requires extensive training and testing, so you are assured that your inspector has a broad and relevant knowledge base. Among the CHI group, there is a member of the NAHI Standards Committee, Chair of the NAHI National Complaints Committee, former directors of the local NAHI chapter, a county building official, a licensed electrician and decades of construction experience. All this experience and training results in inspectors who can tap into a virtual mountain of information to give our clients the best possible inspection experience.http://www.nahimn.org/Standards-of-Practice.htmlhttp://www.nahimn.orgshapeimage_15_link_0shapeimage_15_link_1
